April 27, 2009 Did we lose a day?

So we didnt really sleep on the flight from JFK to Dublin, Ireland. We played video golf and watched movies, than made a poor attempt to nap, but for once Saviya slept more than Colin (though still very short). We arrived to Dublin, walked about 2 miles through the airport, going through security and immigration again...total pile...and unnecessary.


So a few hours later we are on the connector to Amsterdam. We arrived a bit early. We opted for a direct taxi from the airport to our apartment. Though the most expensive option, we had so much baggage the thought of dragging it to a train to Central Station than a taxi to our house just was not the right option. We arrived to our apartment and about 2 minutes later our landlord's friend arrived to show us around our new apartment. Jutta was very nice, even carried up one of our heavy bags. It is 59 steps from the front door to our apartment door. Than another 13 steps to our second level and another 15 to the roof. Pheew...

We got some groceries from the Albert Heijn market across the street, had a bit to eat, than both slept for nearly 16 hours....

We only managed one picture on the 27th...Opening the door to our apartment at the street level for the first time! -Colin
