April 25, 2009 That lady is green...

So we hop on the downtown train to Battery Park and take the Harbor Cruise. This cruise goes up the Hudson, loops to New Jersey, stops for extended Statue of Liberty pictures, up Govenors Island, past the Staten Island Ferry, up to Brooklyn Bridge and Verenzano Bridge, past the South Street Seaport, and back to to Battery park. This was a great tour, minus the tour guide who really should never have been given access to a microphone. We arrived to late to try to go out to Ellis Island or Statue of Liberty, so this was a great alternative.

World Trade Towers 1 and 2 used to be in this picture. We went to the new construction site, nothing gonna hold back New York, or America!

Chocolate corner in Times Square and the big green lady, Statue of Liberty. She is remarkable, and an international symbol, the moment was not lost on us.

We finished off the night by meeting up with my cousin/husband and went to spot in China Town called Joe's Shanghai. We got 3 massive stacks of soup dumplings that were very tasty, as well as some delicous side dishes (themselves main courses). We ate and had some drinks than waddled over to the uptown train and went our separate ways in Times Square. Later that evening we went on a pizza slice adventure and wandered the Broadway Theaters till we found one. After many nights of short sleep and lots of walking, we called it a night. -Colin
