Videos From Queen's Day Amsterdam April 2009

Catching up on my videos, here are some from Queen's Day.
The entire country closes down and the streets become alive, filled with a massive party and people drenched in Orange. As you walk through the crowded streets you enjoy some music, beer, and the various 'yard sales' or Vrijmarkt where people put out their junk and wares to sell tax free for one day per year.
Here in the Jordan neighborhood is a typical view when you come to a bridge or square were people can gather...

The canals are filled with party boats. Everyone drinking, some with live dj's, but most blaring a boom box or massive speakers... Here are 3 vids of the canal craziness..
